Three of the Best Wedding Marquee Venues in Devon

If you are thinking of getting married in the West Country, what better county than that of Devon! With a plethora beautiful, unique and gorgeous wedding venues to suit all budgets, alongside historic, rolling countryside, Devon most certainly should be on your list to explore.

Here is a short but sweet list of the best, prettiest and most unique marquee wedding venues in Devon:

Weymouth

Whether hosting a small and intimate gathering or a larger celebration of up to 250 guests, Upwey House has the space to cater for your wonderful day. The house itself is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay and you could consider using this as an intimate pre-wedding dinner or post-event brunch. However what is wonderful is that the house has a whopping great 25 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds, making it a breath-taking place to make the most magical of memories. With Civil Ceremony license, as well as Outdoor license it gives you the flexibility of choice. Their knowledge and expertise when helping you organise your marquee wedding is also fantastic.

Tiverton

Set deep in the Devon countryside, this is not just a stunning rural location with 400 exclusive acres of farm and woodland, but it is also boasts an oak tree ceremony site and historic thatched farmhouse, Cider barn and other buildings to play with. If you love nature, this is the prime location to explore and delve in. Sustainably run, this wedding venue has the perfect spaces for outdoor dining, sitting by open fires, a rustic ‘stock your own bar’ in the Cider Barn and of course out door hot tub and solar heated swimming pool! They have a large marquee which seats 100 guests and even has a Summer Love Hut at the edge of the woodland for the couple to spend their wedding night! Rustic, relaxed and eco-friendly, this is an incredibly special place.

Deer’s Leap Weddings

Nestled on the edge of Exmoor National Park, this stunning venue has so much character, heart and warmth as well as countryside to explore. A gorgeous traditional country farmhouse is at its heart, equipped with all the beautiful countryside things you would expect. Beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplaces and beautiful sunsets a plenty for guests to stay in or for your bridal party to get ready in. You can pitch your marquee and enjoy the grounds, walking around the lake, stone barn with terraces, perhaps getting married in the lakeside gazebo and maybe challenging your guests to a post-wedding tennis match in the courts. With lots of space for glamping and ample parking for guests, you have this venue exclusively all weekend. Being able to accommodate parties of 100+, you are also able to bring in any caterers you like and with no corkage, this is such a flexible place to celebrate.
